The Korea National Food Cluster has built yet another significant relationship by signing a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with the Korea Agency of HACCP Accreditation and Services. This MOU will expectedly enhance mutual cooperation between the Korea National Food Cluster and the Korea Agency of HACCP Accreditation and Services, thereby helping the Korea National Food Cluster strengthen its food safety control activities and sharpen its competitive edge in food manufacturing.

Having concluded the MOU with the Korea Agency of HACCP Accreditation and Services, the Korea National Food Cluster is looking forward to facilitating the introduction of a smart HACCP in the era of the fourth Industrial Revolution and strengthening safety control over the nation’s food industry. This will involve mutual cooperation with businesses in joint technology development projects that aim to establish smart HACCP systems for food companies.

As the nation’s food hygiene and safety certification body, the Korea Agency of HACCP Accreditation and Services was established by merging two HACCP agencies that were respectively responsible for livestock and foods. It plays multifaceted roles relating to food safety, including HACCP accreditation review, livestock product testing and inspections, and research on food safety control policies.

Under the MOU, the Korea Agency of HACCP Accreditation and Services will help companies in the Korea National Food Cluster tighten their control over food safety and improve their competitiveness in production by offering technical support and information for the dissemination and diffusion of the smart HACCP among food companies.

In addition, the two organizations have plans to cooperate to extend their public relations activities and offer education and training to discover and foster professional talents that will lead the food industry to a brighter future.

In cooperation with the Korea Agency of HACCP Accreditation and Services, the Korea National Food Cluster will exert its utmost efforts to further tighten food safety control and raise future leaders in the food industry.
