Commencement of tenant businesses’ export to overseas

10 Additional businesses Plan to Export in May

 

 

Businesses within the Korea National Food. Cluster is continuing overseas export boon in the food industry. As one example, ‘CONF Limited’ has succeeded in exporting citron tea to China (Shanghai) through the overseas export cultivation support provided by the Korea National Food. Cluster.

 

CONF Limited is a company that produces citron tea and ginger tea and it has succeeded in this export after receiving an assistance of packaging technology of the Korea National Food. Cluster last year.  Citron tea will be exhibited and sold at Olé Market in China (Shanghai), which is the largest supermarket chain in China.
The Korea National Food Cluster plans to strengthen cooperation with ‘Anyway Korea’ which is one of tenant businesses of the Food Cluster that has a strong sales distribution network in China. ‘Anyway Korea’ is a company which plans to export processed food containing Korean mushroom to China and it has a right of sales and distribution network in China. Gaya F&D’’s Pumpkin Sweet Rice Drink (Sikhye) and ‘Pincompany’s Cheese Cake will be exported to China. Pincompany developed a packaging technology that minimizes product damage, which can occur the process of export, jointly with the Korea National Food Cluster last year and the company is receiving internship assistance and business training as well.
The businesses which succeeded in this export has been showing continuous interest in overseas export and has a great expectation in expanding their export scale in the coming years by receiving overseas export market assistance from the Korea National Food Cluster.
Furthermore, the Korea National Food Cluster plans to provide continuous export support for other tenant businesses such as Purme FS (rice cake for Tteok-bokki), Myeonggawon (Bokbunja wildberry liquor), Daedu Foods(sweet jelly of red beans), Jangseng Doraji (Jelly).

In order to expand the tenant businesses’ sales market in China, the Korea National Food Cluster plans to establish a Korean center through a cooperation with ‘Anyway China*’(MOU agreement made last year) in order to hold various Korean food tasting events at Olé Market in Shanghai, China sometime in March.​

 1. Operation Progress

  1) 1st Tasting Event (Oct. 19.)

   – Prior review of the export potential of 9 businesses such as sales and tenant businesses

   – Evaluator: Anyway Korea

   – Venue: Conference room at the Pincompany

  

  2) 2nd Tasting Event (Oct. 24.)

   – Review of export potential of 21 sales and interested businesses

   – Evaluator: Anyway China

   – Venue: Multi-purpose auditorium of the Support Center

  

  3) 3rd(Shanghai) Tasting Event (Nov. 15.~16.)

   – Check the export possibility of 15 sales and interested businesses

   – Evaluator: Anyway China, etc

   – Venue: Shanghai Olé Market, etc​

 

  4) 4th Tasting Event (Dec. 26.)

   – Check the export possibility of 21 tenant and interested businesses

   – Evaluator: Anyway China, etc

   – Venue: Multi-purpose auditorium of the Support Center

 

 2. Export Performance

  – Plan to sign an export contract with 5 businesses in March 2018 and plan to make an export for 10 businesses in May

  – Open a Korean center at marts* in Shanghai, China

   * Hold exhibitions and sales jointly with Food Court of Sunny-walk
