The Korea National Food Cluster, operation of the International Fermented Food Expo booths

Soaring to global food market, giving wings to fermented food 

 

 

The International Fermented Food Expo (IFFE 2018) marked its 16th anniversary this year was held at the Jeonju World Cup Stadium from October 25 to 29 with slogan‘Fermented, the future of food industry.’
In this year, The International Fermented Food Expo raised the standards of participating companies and drew attention because of the participation of specific projects teams from several city and county. In addition, Job Fair was operated with a business consulting mentoring day to strengthen the growth and capability of food companies of Jeonbuk province, and it was expected synergy effect by linking events related food.

 

​In the event hall, about 400 booths were operated by 360 companies from 20 countries, and in there, many Korean traditional fermented foods such as various kinds of fermented pastes and pickled vegetables, and wine and cheese which represent each continents could be seen.

 

​In particular, the Korea National Food Cluster participated in the special exhibition of the International Fermented Food Expo. The special exhibition displayed various contents by establishing a Samrak farm Asia Smart Agricultural Science Valley, which means farmer, farming and farming area are happy, with R&D organizations such as the Korea National Food Cluster, North Jeolla Province Food Master, Daejeon, and the National Agricultural Quality Management Institute.
