2019 Technical Seminar on Food Safety

Announce the latest trend in food safety and trends!

 

The ‘2019 Technical Seminar on Food Safety’ co-hosted by the Korea National Food Cluster Support Center and the Korean Society of Food Science and Nutrition was successfully held on April 24.

​This event is designed to provide the latest trends in food hygiene and safety, new technology, and expertise to businesses of interest, academia, and related agencies. This seminar, which was held under the theme of “Eat! Safe and Smart!!”, invited 5 experts in the field of food safety to introduce trends in domestic food labeling standards, regulations, and scientific equipment used for HACCP 22000, etc., explained global certification system such as FSSC 22000 and the difference between functional foods and general foods, introduced the successful cases of smart factory such as intelligent production factories, and presented the direction.

 

In addition, a total of three companies opened counseling booths at the Event Hall, including Korea Agency of HACCP Accreditation and Services (KAHAS), SGS Korea, and Food OneTech, and offered specialized consulting on HACCP, global certification system, new systems and food labeling standards, and 11 companies received counseling.

At the end of the event, Yoon Tae Jin, president of the Korea National Food Cluster Support Center, said, “We will continue to provide opportunities to exchange the latest food safety information needed by food industry officials, includingsmall and medium-sized food companies that have little access to information in the future.”
